Do I need to hire a plumber to come after the installation to connect my plumbing or electrical devices?

You will need a plumber to come in and disconnect any plumbing in the vicinity prior to the installation appointment. You’ll also need him to reconnect everything after the installation.

We can provide a third-party, licensed plumber to take care of everything for a flat rate of $400. Or, if you already have a plumber in mind, you can hire your own.

How do I schedule my job and receive an installation date?

Scheduling your job is as easy as coming to our showroom and choosing the color that’s right for you. Once you’ve made your decision, we’ll come out to your house, measure everything to ensure accurate material and labor costs, and e-mail you a bid. After you’ve accepted our bid, we’ll let you know what our next available installation dates are. Then, it’s as simple as choosing the one that fits your schedule.

Once I sign up, how long do I have to wait until my countertops will be installed?

Once you’ve signed up, it will take approximately two weeks to fabricate granite and make the necessary arrangements to begin installation.

Do you offer wholesale prices or discounts for builders/commercial jobs?

No, we offer contractor pricing to all of our customers. That’s one of the commitments we’ve made as a business and it’s one of the reasons our clients appreciate us.

Does Any Top Shop offer a warranty on the final installation?

Yes, we offer warranties on all of our installation work. In addition, our quartz countertops include a manufacturer’s warranty. Unfortunately, our granite countertops don’t include a warranty since they’re simply rock, made by mother nature. So, if you’re looking for a warranty on those products, you’ll need to contact her 🙂

Does the Fabricator allow you to choose full slabs of granite?

Yes, we have full slabs as well as remnants available in our showroom. When you visit us to schedule your job, you can take a look at all of our many options.

Does the price include measurement and installation?

Yes, our quoted price will include everything, including measurement and installation.

Is Sealing of the Countertops Included?

Yes, all our granite countertops will be sealed after we install them. However, since quartz countertops don’t require a seal, so they won’t have one.

Do seams in Granite show?

Yes, seams are a part of any natural, high-quality stone countertop. However, we will do our best to make them as invisible to the naked eye as possible.

Do I need to buy full slabs of granite?

No, a full slab is unnecessary. You’ll only pay for the amount of square footage that you actually need.

Is the sink cut-out and undermounting included?

Unfortunately not. Any sink cut-out or undermounting is not included. We charge $300.00 for this service, in addition to the price of the sink itself.

Will I have to buy my own supports for overhangs?

Yes. However, we do sell them for $45.00 if your project needs them.

Is it 3cm granite or 2cm granite?

Ninety-nine percent of our Midwest granite is 3cm.

Does granite need to be resealed regularly?

Resealing largely depends on how much abuse it takes. If you’re constantly sliding cast iron pans across it, it’s going to wear out fairly quickly. But under normal circumstances, it will take a while. If you’re wondering whether it needs to be resealed, simply pour a small amount of water on it. If it beads up, it’s sealed. If it soaks into the granite, darkening it, then you likely need to have it resealed.

Can you level my cabinets?

No, we do not level cabinets. However, we will level your granite countertop.

Can I keep my existing tile back splash?

Yes, you can keep your current tile back splash. However, you need to keep in mind that, since old laminate tops are thicker than granite or quartz, your new countertop will need to be raised about a quarter of an inch.

How do you attach the granite countertops to my cabinet?

We will attach your granite countertops to your cabinet with silicone. Once the granite is installed, its weight will hold it down and ensure that it stays where it’s supposed to be.

Do I need to reinforce my cabinets for granite installation?

No, that’s not necessary. Normal cabinets should be able to sufficiently distribute the weight of a granite countertop so that reinforcement is not needed.

Will I have an opportunity to see my stone slab(s) before my countertops are installed?

Absolutely! When you come to our showroom, you’ll have the opportunity to see – and pick out – the perfect stone slab for you.

What can I expect when remodeling my kitchen as opposed to new construction?

Remodeling involves as much demolition as construction. This means that, if you’re still living in your home, you’ll be living with a lot of noise, dust, and dirt. That’s simply part of the process.

Does Anytopshop offer cabinet refacing? Is refacing a better alternative than replacing?

No, we do not offer cabinet refacing. We believe that, in the long run, it’s simply better to replace cabinets than to resurface them.

Will I be hit with hidden charges?

No, we do not hide any of our charges. However, with remodeling there’s always the chance that an unexpected cost will crop up. But if that happens, we will let you know as soon as we know so that you never feel out of the loop.

How far will Any Top Shop travel to install a countertop?

What are granite remnants and are they less costly?

Granite remnants are leftovers from other jobs. Yes, they are less costly compared to full slabs. You can see our remnants and full slabs, as well as get details about pricing, by visiting our showroom.

Can I buy granite from Home Depot and other lumberyards and have you install it ?

No, we only install granite that we sell since we’re sure of its quality.

Can I take samples home?

Yes, we’ll be happy to let you take a sample home so you can get an idea of how the color will look in your home after installation.

Yes, we have a full time interior designer with fifteen years of experience on staff.

What is the cost of demoing my current kitchen?

We charge a flat rate of $300.00 for demoing laminate or tile.

Are there different edge treatments and what are they?

Yes, there are a number of different options, including…

  • Square Edge – This is the simplest and most defined of edges.
  • Beveled Edge – This is an edge where the top corner is cut off at roughly 45 degrees.
  • Mitered Edge – This gives the countertop the look of a very thick slab.
  • Bullnose Edge – This is a deeply rounded style edge.
  • Ogee Edge – This includes two gracefully sweeping arches that form an S-shaped curve when the edge is viewed in profile.
